He successfully achieved his Certified Chef de Cuisine (CCC) designation and is currently working towards his Certified Master Chef (CMC). Ganesh has also participated in Gold Medal Plates and won a bronze medal with the Emirates Culinary Guild. He has been coaching Culinary Team NAIT since 2013 and travelled with the team to Singapore and Hong Kong, where they won silver and bronze medals. In 2013, Ganesh accepted a teaching position at NAIT. Ganesh spent the next 2 years working as executive chef for West Edmonton Mall Property Inc. ![]() A move to Edmonton saw him taking a position as Chef de partie with the Delta Edmonton South in 2003 where he became executive sous-chef and later executive chef with Silver Birch Hotels, where he worked until 2011. Ganesh worked for many international hotel chains and cruise ships over the next few years, including Starwood Hotels and Resorts, Jumeirah International in Dubai and Cunard Cruise Lines. After graduating with honors, he apprenticed with Intercontinental Hotels in 1994. BIO Ganesh Subra began his culinary journey in 1990 when he enrolled into the Culinary Arts Program.HRH: Health, Foods/ Culinary | Recreation, Foods/ Culinary | Human Services, Foods/ Culinary Louis, Louisville, Manchester, Boston, Orlando, and Houston. Coaching, training, promotion, and travel, in the name of robotics, consisted of trips to Edmonton, Calgary, Banff, Canmore, Ft McMurray, Cold Lake, Lethbridge, Medicine Hat, Vancouver, St. Phoebe Arcilla, Online Mathematics and Electronics Educator for Pembina Hills School District and former Regional Director for FIRST Robotics Western Canada, currently one of twelve Diversity Officers for FIRSTInspires, and Partnership Director for First Robotics Society in Alberta, organized volunteers and robotics competitions for 5 years and coached robotics teams for 10 years (VEX, FLL, FTC, and FRC levels). He has also helped the team start six FTC teams in all of Nelson Mandela High School’s feeder schools resulting in over 200 students being exposed to robotics competition in northeast Calgary. In both 20 the team succeeded in winning a major award from the Canadian Rockies Regional Championship and has earned their way to competing at the world championship of FIRST Robotics in Houston Texas for both years.
